F**K The Coolest Cab Driver I've Ever Met.

In the past, I've always had this gigantic grudge of the taxi/cab system in Malaysia, no matter,  how much I put my hopes in them, they always managed to disappoint me. It's kinda throwing an egg of a 30-story building and hoping for it not to FALL, not "BREAK", "FALL", that's how constantly disappointing they were. But this was in the year of 2009, although now, in 2K10, they've been a little more promising. I mean, a lot of great memories this year involved cabs, like the time I skipped school, actually, the times I skipped school, or the mindblowing time I had in Sunway, and today, I met the coolest cab driver in Malaysian history when I was going for for badminton. I learnt a lot of the tricks of the trade of being a cab driver, like how the "NO SMOKING" signs in the cab actually depend on the cab driver, well it depends if the cab driver is a smoker or not. Well, as of today, my hate for cabs and cab drivers have officially been abolished, I now respect the kind of people we have working as our hired transportation. I mean without them, how the hell, are we going to get to our destinations when you have no other means of transportation?. When the distance for a walk is too far, when taking the bus gives you the a chill in your spine after you watched the movie "SPEED", and when you're tired of pregnant women and old ladies hogging the trains like their queens of the world.

P.S- I have nothing against pregnant women, or old ladies, as a matter of fact I love you guys, where would the world be without your hard work. But you gotta admit, these people can get REALLY annoying.

Show me the money

When I ask my Muslim friends, what's the best part about the Eid celebrations, they will say the "food", some people will say "family bonding", some will say meeting their grandparents but for the most part they will say the "MONEY" and to those people I say, HELL YEAH baby. Its true, everybody goes through the exhausting month of fasting with their eyes for one prize, the "kaching" if you know what I mean. It's the easiest source of income if you ask me, especially for us students.  I thank god I was born as a Muslim living in Malaysia as I was blessed with the tradition of "duit raya". I've never truly expressed my love for this wonderful tradition. And the best part is, the older you are, the more you shall receive well, at least until you're working, then you'll have to give out the duit raya and that's just a pain in the freaking ass.

Think about it, what if this tradition never existed?, What if Eid merely consisted, of food, apologies and family bonding,? Wouldn't it be just so, what's the word?. Empty? I guess?. I mean sure the whole point of Eid is getting together and asking forgiveness from others for your wrong doings and strengthening the bond of our Muslim community. Isn't it just more fun with money in the mix?. I mean money makes everything better, well most things. So imagine if this never existed? you can't buy things you don't want your parents to know about, you can't have a major boost to your savings, no showing off to your friends about how much money you have in your wallet. no NOTHING. So for those people who take the gift of "Duit Raya" for granted, sit and think what if this wonderful tradition was taken away?. The next time you get some "Duit Raya" from somebody, remember to keep it away properly, remember to treasure it like your own life, because yes to me, "MONEY IS THAT IMPORTANT".

Anyway Happy Eid for you Muslims and happy money making, and for you Non -Muslims, well, you're missing out.

Cheers,
